— What We Fix
Common Failures. Fixed Dockside.
Cable Replacement
Fraying, flattening, kinks, broken strands. We replace cables. We don’t nurse them along.
Motor Replacement
Slow travel, intermittent operation, a motor that hums and won’t turn. Swapped on site.
New Control Box
Moisture in the box, corroded contactors, a breaker that keeps tripping. Rebuilt or replaced.
Limit Switches
Lifts that overrun the top, stop short, or won’t auto stop where they should.
Pulley Replacement
Seized sheaves and worn bearings chew through cable. New pulleys, repacked and aligned.
Electrolysis on I-Beams
Stray current and spent anodes eat aluminum from the inside. We trace the source.
Fix it once. Then stop it from happening again.

— COMMON 4-Post Cradle BOAT LIFT QUESTIONS
ANSWERS BEFORE YOU ASK.
What is a 4-post boat lift?
A 4-post boat lift is a cradle lift set between four pilings. Top beams carry cables down to a cradle with bunks fit to your hull, and the drive raises the boat straight up and clear of the water. It is one of the most common lifts on South Florida docks.
How much weight can a 4-post boat lift hold?
Neptune Boat Lifts builds 4-post lifts from 4,500 to 30,000 lbs, including 10,000, 16,000, 20,000, 24,000 and 30,000 lb sizes. We size to your boat’s loaded weight, including fuel, water, engines and gear.
How much does a 4-post boat lift cost?
4 post boat lift prices depend on capacity, drive speed, pilings, electrical and permits. New pilings cost more than reusing sound ones. We quote after a site visit. Call or text Kyle at 954-632-1051.
What is a low profile or beamless boat lift?
A beamless lift is a low profile 4-post boat lift with no overhead top beams. Side-mounted drives lift the cradle, so the view stays open when the boat is off the lift. It needs strong, well-placed pilings, which we check first.
Is a 4-post lift the same as a cradle boat lift?
Yes. “Cradle boat lift” describes how the boat is held: on a cradle of bunks between four pilings. A 4-post lift and a cradle lift are the same system.
Can you use my existing pilings?
Often. It depends on piling size, spacing, depth and condition. We inspect them on the site visit; sound pilings can be reused, and weak ones are replaced and driven to refusal.
How far apart do the pilings need to be?
Spacing is set by your boat’s beam and the lift’s capacity. We measure the boat and the slip, then lay out the pilings so the boat centers cleanly between the guide poles.
Do 4 post boat lifts work in saltwater?
Yes. Neptune Boat Lifts builds them in aluminum and stainless steel with stainless cables, and the boat sits fully out of the water. Regular service keeps cables, pulleys and anodes in shape.
