Matthew Klenner at 22 Wins Award for New Zealand Woodcraft

Matthew Klenner was 22 years old in 1982 in Taranaki, New Zealand. The Taranaki Art Gallary held a competition for all local Artist that was sponsored by the Taranaki Savings Bank (A New Zealand national bank). The Taranaki Savings Bank contacted Matthew and told him he won an Award for his sculpture. The reason Matthew excepted the award is that The Taranaki Savings Bank would put his creation inside a glass case which would remain on display throughout the country of New Zealand. In fact to this day the sculpture is still on display at The Taranaki Savings Bank.
